Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name used by her parents. Lennox, who studied for three year at the Royal Academy of Music London in 1970s, was accepted. Her budget was supplemented with a student stipend and part-time jobs. Lennox wasn't satisfied with the level of her skills compared to other students at the Royal Academy and began looking to find alternative routes. Lennox joined a group called Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. The group did not get to compete in the talent competition New Faces on I.T.V. Between 1977 and 1980 she sang in The Tourists. A British pop band from the UK. The band was where she met Dave Stewart and together they created the duo Eurythmics. Lennox started working on Diva in 1992. This was her first solo album. This album became a huge success, both in terms of the sales as well as the critical acclaim. The E.P. is her first independent album and a companion to an art installation she created at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled Now I Let you Go...
